Analysis of Questionnaire
A Survey of General Students' Style of diet
On 24th March 2006, a survey was conducted among 30 students at the Southern Taiwan University of Technology; 3 students were male and 27 were female. These students age were about 21-25 years old, and all of them were college students. The purpose of the survey was to investigate eating style of college students.
The survey was conducted by means of a questionnaire given to the students to complete. The first part of the questionnaire was basic information. The second section was dieting habit of college students.
The main findings were as follows. The vendor was the most popular, chosen by 40%. 26% of the college students selected the fast food, followed by buffet, chosen by 20%. Only 13% college students selected eating in the restaurant.
Most students (83%) spent 50-100 dollars in a meal. Only 17% students spent under 50 dollars in a meal.
A majority of students (93%) ate outside everyday. Only 7% students ate outside five days a week.
The Taiwanese food was the most popular, chosen by 50%. 20% of the college students selected American food, followed by China food, chosen by 16%. Only 13% college students selected Japanese food.
The regular and meal were the most popular, chosen by 33%. 23% of the college students selected guest meal. Only 11% college students selected course meal.
In conclusion, we discoverd that students usually ate outside, especially for vendor. According to the result, these students were careful in the spending of money. They would prefer the food which was economical. Taiwanese food was the most popular choice for them.
